Healthy Food for the Busy Person
We all lead very busy lives and making sure that we eat nutritious meals sometimes get put on the back burner. One way, to cut down on grabbing foods that are not as healthy in a rush, is to have a afternoon or evening set aside for food prep. By taking an hour or two to prep for your week not only saves time but also ensures that you have good food on hand.
The degree in which this is done varies. In our house, we cook all the meats, make snack size baggies with raw veggies or salad, and prepare stock amounts of grains.

Quart sized baggies are perfect portion sized containers
My husband loves to get the giant sized container of the power kale salad mix from Sam’s and a veggie tray weekly. We then make on the go packs of veggies and salad, then put them in a tray in the fridge. This has been revolutionary for our family. Now we snack on greens and raw veggies often.
