You Got This Night Shift Mom!

You Got This Night Shift Mom!

Do you feel like you are not well understood by those who work in the daytime? Have you felt left out of activities because you are sleeping after your night shift? The life of a mom who works nights is unique. You have two worlds to marry and it can be difficult at times.

You may have experienced that guilt of always having to sleep during the day while others are up and active. You may have been left out of social activities because you had to go to sleep in preparation for your shift. On the flip side, you have also experienced being able to attend your children’s evening activities and go on field trips that you would probably not be able to do if you worked during the day. You may have the luxury of being able to make your own schedule as a perk of working exclusively nights. This is a freedom that allows you to be present for your cherubs like no other.

So the next time you feel like you are dragging and that the rest of the world doesn’t get you, reflect on the happy, healthy, well adjusted cherubs you have been gifted to raise.

Don’t listen to the naysayers.

You have a tribe out there chuck full of other strong mommas who are working daily to bridge the worlds of the day and the night. You are not alone. We have your back!
