More and more diets utilize tofu in a multitude of ways. Some studies show that plant-based eating sheds 60 t0 100 percent more weight than nonvegetarians. Tofu is an excellent source of amino acids, iron, calcium, and other micro-nutrients. It is a good source of protein.

It belongs to the cruciferous family which connects it to food choices like kale, and brussels sprouts, bok choy, and cabbage. Eat this raw or cooked. Hint: Makes for a great snack with hummus.
Ginger can settle an upset stomach but also works with weight loss. It has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects for the body. This is a very popular spice which is low calorie. Watch for videos on how to peel fresh ginger.
