Episode 214: Financial Therapy, Financial Trauma, and Financial Infidelity – Getting Real About Money: Bob Wheeler
Subscribe: Spotify |
Bob Wheeler is an accountant, author of adult and children’s books, podcast host, and the CFO of a comedy store in Hollywood. His book, The Money Nerve, is about money and emotions. His children’s book, Darius Wants a Dog, teaches finances to children.
Bob’s mission is to encourage conversation around money instead of avoiding it and arguing about it. He’s found that often, people are encouraged to strive for success which is often connected to financial success, instead of being encouraged to pursue happiness. Those may not be the same outcomes.
It’s important we create the time and space to really connect with what brings us joy in life while learning to have a healthy relationship with money. Bob does offer 1:1 coaching, helps people with their taxes, leads workshops, and is available for speaking engagements.

His passion is to help others gain insights into how their emotions trigger financial decisions. Combining finances with behaviors, Bob explores his personal concept of creating a healthy relationship with money in his book, The Money Nerve: Navigating The Emotions Of Money, his online course, Mastering The Emotions Of Money, his podcast, Money You Should Ask and his latest endeavor, Financially Fit Kidz book series.
Bob also conducts Radical Abundance and Money at its CORE seminars internationally and across the U.S.A. Bob is a ‘CORE Energetics’ and Radical Aliveness Practitioner.
While strengthening his accounting practice, Bob has simultaneously pursued his love of satire and ventured into the realm of standup comedy. YES! You read that correctly. From his thirty years of helping clients, Bob has distilled a concoction of warmth, humor, information, motivation, and budgeting directives that he offers to anyone with financial concerns. He is the founding partner at Wheeler & Bi CPA and is currently the CFO for The World Famous Comedy Store.
Bob’s world travels have led him to high altitudes. He has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, ascended to Mount Everest Base Camp, and hiked several smaller mountains in between. With charm and humor, his experiences on the road, in the office, or running a Greek marathon, feed his wit as a stand-up comic and financial motivator.
