Why Start the Good to Great Womens’ Group?

“A woman with a voice is, by definition, a strong woman.” —Melinda Gates

So if you are active at all on social media, you are aware of an entity called the Facebook group. These are places that bring people together so that they can collaborate, plan, socialize more effectively or offer support to each other. These entities are so effective that there are large numbers of them addressing any possible area of interest.

For me, Facebook groups provide an answer to several needs from accountability in business, life, and fitness to event planning and idea sharing. There are several groups that I have found myself in due interests like groups related to emergency medicine, homeschooling, parenting, motherhood, budgeting, and fitness. The group that I did not seem to find was a group dedicated to uplifting, supporting and encouraging women to be great.

Be the change you want to see.

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” —Michelle Obama

Since I did not see such a group where powerful women from all fields can get together and collaborate with, uplift and support each other, I decided to start one.

“We need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women and take the lead.”—Beyoncé

There is something about being part of a tribe or community that supports, encourages and bolsters. Click To Tweet This type of environment serves as a catalyst to innovation, progress and accomplishment. Imagine a place where you are supported and encouraged to be the best that you can be. Imagine yourself surrounded by progressive women like yourself who are ready and willing to lean in and crush big goals. This place is a haven for big ideas, big dreams, and big time support for strong women like yourself.

As a member of several specialized community groups on Facebook, I noticed a missing element. Some of my groups are for homeschooling moms, physician moms, moms in general, fitness fans, financial planning and the list goes on and is quite lengthy. What I have not found is a group that addresses promoting greatness in strong women who are moms, aunts, sisters, and have interests like finance, homeschooling, fitness, entrepreneurial pursuits, etc. A place to build each other up and create opportunities for growth and success. A place for collaboration, support, innovation, solace and just plain old positivity.

The vision for the Good to Great Womens’ group is for strong women like you to be surrounded by positivity, encouragement, and be a place where excellence is achieved by the awesome company you keep. Click To Tweet
